Age Wrinkles The Skin And Lack Of Enthusiasm The Soul

Age wrinkles the skin and lack of enthusiasm the soul

Enthusiasm is the energy that leads us to happiness, it is the passion to do what really motivates us and what we love. Fully living this powerful energy means maintaining an attitude of hope and openness to what is presented to us.

In our day to day we are accommodating ourselves, adapting to the routine, creating a monotony. This causes comfortable motivations to take over and not those from which the most powerful energy flows and the rewards that somehow reconcile us with life.

When we are children we have that natural ability to give value to what we want, over and above protecting ourselves from what we fear. We explore, wonder and enthuse naturally, through simple things. As we age, we turn off this ability, although fortunately, all is not lost!

Live with enthusiasm

Living with enthusiasm is not something that comes in our way of being or is genetically determined, on the contrary it is an attitude  and as such it supposes learning. The role models that we have had in childhood have a great influence, an important weight in relation to how we see the world.

Have you observed how your parents relate to the world? It is possible that you have been able to detach yourself from how they position themselves in the face of reality, however, it is inevitable that it has influenced you. When we become adults we become more aware of the decisions we make to face things in one way or another.

Living with enthusiasm means choosing to explore, maintaining the illusion, opening up to emotions and the ability to experiment. Do you consider yourself an enthusiastic person? If so, surely you see everything around you in a special way, observe the details and stop with the little things that life brings you, to enjoy and feel them.

Breaking with skepticism

The attitude of enthusiasm allows us to break with complaints, negativism and skepticism. By taking a more hopeful vision, we see a world full of possibilities, with more perspective. Inevitably we believe that we are capable of achieving what we set out to do.

Believing in ourselves makes us use the necessary resources to face any adversity. This is in relation to Bandura’s theory, about self-efficacy, which refers to the perception that one has about himself to believe that he can achieve something.

Motivation stems from these beliefs, from the expectations we have about what we are capable of achieving with our effort. It also means placing ourselves in reality, putting our feet on the ground, to contemplate the different points of view and assess the situation according to the resources we have.

Learning from enthusiasm

As previously emphasized, enthusiasm is a way of looking at life, an attitude that helps us to motivate ourselves and face the situations that arise. You can learn to be enthusiastic even if it is something that is also strongly ingrained in your personality.

By taking all experience and learning as something that helps us to develop and grow, we can adopt an attitude of enthusiasm for what surrounds us. A more positive vision about adversities and difficulties, in order to relate to each other from motivation.

Enthusiasm also has a lot to do with the ability to love, since it involves delving into the beauty behind everything that happens to us. The great achievements that humanity has achieved have been thanks to the enthusiasm, desire and strength that pushes us to discover and be amazed.

Let’s learn from children, let’s learn to experience the enthusiasm and desire to discover:
